SEOUL, April 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's national baseball team, which finished second in last month's World Baseball Classic, will be awarded US$1.5 million (about 2 billion won) in prize money, the country's baseball governing body said Friday.

The Korean team is expected to be given $3 million in total, including a runner-up prize worth $2 million and a dividend from the WBC organizer estimated at $1 million, according to the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO).
