Korean Baseball Season Starts April 4

The Korean professional baseball season begins on April 4. The Korea Baseball Organization announced the schedule for the 2009 season on Tuesday.

The season will open with four games between the SK Wyverns and Hanwha Eagles in Incheon, the Doosan Bears and Kia Tigers in Seoul, the Lotte Giants and Woori Heroes in Busan, and the Samsung Lions and LG Twins in Daegu.

A total of 532 matches will be played this season, with each team playing 133 games. The top four teams from last season will have 67 home games, whereas the bottom four finishers will play 66 home games.
