Am I the only one that thinks a baseball stadium for roughly $40 million sounds cheap? The baseball facilities do need to be upgraded in Korea, but I'd like to see some thought put into it. You know, build a good stadium instead of building a crappy stadium really quickly. I just hope they remember to build adequate parking facilities.

If you go back to Sunday's game against Hanwha and include the first 8 innings of this game, Lotte had been shutout for 19 consecutive innings. Kang Min-ho ended the drought in the 9th inning when he drove in pinch runner Choi Man-ho with a game-winning single. KIA's Seo Jae-weong and Lotte's Jang Won-joon were both very good. Seo was a little wild during his 7 innings of work(117 pitches, 76 strikes), but he was able to keep Lotte off the scoreboard. He took a no-hitter into the 6th. Seo allowed 2 hits and 5 walks. He recorded 6 strikeouts on the evening. Jang was a little better. He threw 8 shutout innings(96 pitches, 61 strikes) and he allowed only 5 hits and 3 walks. He struck out 4 Tigers. Royster was grilled about his use of the bullpen after the game. It sounded like the announce crew wanted to know why he pulled Kang Yeong-sik after only 2 batters. He says he was simply playing matchups and that's the way he's always done it. He wanted Adkins to face the righty.


SK 4, LG 4

SK held a 3-0 lead heading into the top of the 6th, but a 4 run rally left the Wyverns staring at a 4-3 deficit. With a runner on first and 1 out, LG 3rd baseman Jeong Dong-su hit a Jeon Byeong-doo pitch over the left field fence to make the score 3-2. Lee Jin-yeong legged out an infield single to put a runner on for Choi Dong-su. Kim Won-hyeong came in to relieve Jeon. Choi promptly hit a 2-run homer to give LG a 4-3 advantage. The score would remain 4-3, until the bottom of the 9th. Woo Gyu-min came in to relieve LG ace Bong Jung-geun. Bong had worked 8 solid innings(111 pitches, 71 strikes). He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks with 8 K's. Pinch hitter, Park Jeong-kwon lead off the inning with an infield single. It was a slow bouncer up the middle that took FOR...E...VER to reach the shortstop. Na Ju-hwan bunted Park over to 2nd. Pinch hitter Kim Jae-hyeon bounced out to short. Jeong-kwon was unable to advance. The next batter, SK 2nd baseman Jeong Geun-woo, drilled a 2-2 pitch up the middle for a base hit. Park was able to score standing up on a fairly mediocre throw from LG centerfielder Lee Jin-yeong to tie the game at 4. On to extras. Nothing remotely interesting happened until the bottom of the 12th. SK had runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs, but quickly grounded into a double play and a force out to end the game.
