Some people in soompi listen to the Radio Rips , and here it is what they hear :

Geng said that Donghae learnt a lot of weird words (I guess he meant difficult words, lol) and he said that Kyuhyun is a fast learner ^^ Kyuhyun began imitating Hyukjae like he used to do and he’s basically there just to bother them LOL. They were teasing him for his dancing and pimples, so he has good reasons to annoy XD

Well, Geng’s Korean accent seems to just have got even worse after so much China LOL and they asked them which award they won and Geng was like “………….” so they teased him and were like “you don’t even know?!” but then he managed to say it in this REALLY thick accent <3>

►Super Junior continues to hold sway over Thai teens

Thai teens were screaming, some even crying, as their Korean heartthrobs finally appeared on stage at Siam Paragon for the Super Junior Super Show press conference. The frenzied fans were in tears either because of a fit of hysteria, or perhaps because of the chaos caused by the crazy crowd pushing themselves to get closer to the stage.

Watching from one of the overlooking platforms at Siam Square BTS station, Rung, 15, and Ray, 12, only saw their idols from a distance. But they didn't mind because for the concert at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on July 12, the two sisters have secured 4,500 baht standing tickets that will give them a close-up view of Super Junior's performance.

"We spent our savings to buy the tickets over the Internet," Rung, the bigger sister says. "It will be worth it. Last year, the TVXQ (Dong Bang Shin Gi) concert was absolutely fabulous and I expect the Super Junior Super Show to be just as spectacular."

While she often listens to Thai pop music, she has no particular favourite acts and thinks that Korean artists are more impressive with their singing, dancing and even sense of humour. The Mathayom 4 student is also teaching herself the Korean language and can fluently sing along to Super Junior hits like Miracle, Full of Happiness, and U.

A group of 13 young talents, Super Junior is just one of the hot South Korean acts that Thai teenagers idolise. Others that have made recent visits to the Kingdom include Ajoo, FT Island, Wonder Girls, Big Bang, SS501 and Paran. Kitikorn Penrote of True Music, promoter of the upcoming Super Junior concert, was naturally very happy with the phenomenal press conference, but deep inside he would love to see Thai teenagers as crazy about Thai artists as Korean idols.

"It's not that Thai artists don't have quality but as we can see from the Korean music industry, continuous development is crucial. K-pop mania in Thailand is a by-product, after a decade of product development supported by the South Korean government, whose strategy is to strengthen every industry in terms of export potential," says Kitikorn.

"Counting entertainment as an important medium with which to promote the country, South Korea fully supports it music, film and TV industries. And just like Hollywood influences the world by promoting American lifestyles and American brands, Korean entertainment is a powerful medium to promote tourism and culture as well as other products. The objective is to develop entertainment products, not only for the domestic market, but first for Asia, then the world."

To serve the international market, South Korea invests in product development, resulting in the quality of today's Korean music and artists. The product development process, according to Kitikorn, starts after Korean talents sign a 10-year contract that will put them into training for stardom for the first three years before releasing an album. The first five years is about investment and the last five years, harvesting.

"Koreans appreciate music and don't buy pirate copies, which encourages music producers and artists to maintain quality work," observes the True Music director. "It's a different situation in Thailand with the daunting level of piracy. Moreover, with the aim to serve small market segments within the country, the relatively low levels of investment don't allow quality. Therefore, we're at the point where Korean music triumphs over Thai music."

Kitikorn adds that with the tremendous demand, it won't only be True Music that brings K-pop acts to Thailand. He maintains that this will be a good thing for the local music industry, as it can learn from the Korean productions, like this month's Super Junior Super Show, which will involve a team of 100 people putting together an impressive world-class concert.

Sudhipong Vatanajang, RS executive vice president of music content production, totally agrees that Thais should use theseshows to evaluate how advanced the Koreans are, how far we have to go and what we have to do to catch up with them.

"The invasion of K-pop artists doesn't mean that Thai artists are finished," Sudhipong says. "However, a concern is that it may make Thai teens look up to only Korean idols instead of supporting Thai artists. I firmly believe that Thai singers and bands, whether from Lat Phrao (RS) or Asoke (GMM Grammy) are as good as Koreans, but more support is needed to realise their full potential. What's important now is not to compete with each other but to defend our music industry against Korean music."

Two years ago, with Korean fever intensifying, Sudhipong thought of establishing a new label to battle K-pop. Kamikaze was launched last year to target teen music lovers.

Young stars on the new label include cute duos Four-Mod and Neko-Jump and the unique boy band K-OTIC comprising of two Thais, two Thai-Japanese boys and one Korean.

Sudhipong describes K-OTIC, with its multi-national members, as an innovative take on Asian pop. Moreover, the band sings their latest release,Freestyle, in four languages, Thai, English, Japanese and Korean. Hecompletely understands why so many people think K-OTIC is just a copy of K-pop bands, but affirms that it's an application rather than an emulation.

"K-pop itself is an application of Western music and the Koreans are good at adapting songs to suit Asians. We can learn the art of application from them," Sudhipong says.

"When you listen to hip-hop songs, the structure of the melody is pretty much the same, but what's different in a Korean or Thai hip-hop number is the idea, the content, the vocal style, which is all about application and modification to make it more appealing to Asian listeners."

Because of South Korea's vision and commitment to develop its products, he points out that it is 10 years ahead of Thailand in every sector - from music and automobiles to electronics and football.

"A friend of mine worked with Korean music producers and quite some time ago I asked him when we would equal or beat Korea in music-making," says Sudhipong. "He replied, 'When Thailand's football team makes it to the World Cup final.' At first I thought that he was joking. But thinking about what he said, this may be true unless more and continued support is given to the Thai music industry."

►Super Junior 5th Sub-unit in Japan?

SM Entertainment, Super Junior's management and Rhythm Zone, TVXQ's record label in Japan officially announced Super Junior's Japan tour, and NO new sub-unit to form.

On July 8, Super Junior will make their first official appearance as a group in Japan, holding their first Japan fan meeting in the Nippon Budokan, Tokyo as a celebration for the grand opening of their official Japanese Homepage that was opened on April 1, 2008.

An estimate of 10,000 Japanese fans will be present at the fan meeting. Although Super Junior has never held activities in Japan, the decision for the group to appear in the renowned Nippon Budokan has become a special event to notice.

The group will release a compiled Japan single, "U/Twins", to complement the event.

►E.L.F. "Only 13"

More than 700 Super Junior fans, known as E.L.F., are currently picketing in front of SM Entertainment’s office in Apkujeong, Seoul to voice their demands that the label no longer adds a new member to the 13-member group and makes a Super Junior - China unit.

Super Junior fans have 4 demands on SM Entertainment.
They are as follows:

1. That SM Entertainment withdraw its plan on a Super Junior China unit.

2. That SM Entertainment officially announce that it will not remove any member from the group or add a new one in the group.

3. That SM Entertainment apologizes to Super Junior fans and people in general for releasing the concept that Super Junior is just a project group.

4. That SM Entertainment apologizes to Super Junior’s fan club E.L.F. for the mental strain the issues have caused them.

“We’ll only stop until our demands are answered,” Super Junior fans reiterated.

►Siwon Finds Himself in the Middle of Fame

Tall, freshly-shaven and still blooming from a 4-hour sleep, 21 year old Super Junior member Choi Si Won, sohu discovers, has an appeal difficult to resist.

But beyond his looks, what's more charming

about this Seoul-born lad is his penchant for his religious acts (Protestant), unconsciously-gestured behavior and for always looking at the bright side of life which inspire his bandmates more.

Si Won in real life has been transformed by love... love for his family and friends. Let's just say that he had his heart broken in the past, but he'd rather not dwell on that. He'd rather concentrate on the good breaks pouring in. "I'm happy when people recognize me. I feel fulfilled everytime they appreciate me."

For Si Won - who says there's nothing like watching the sun rise and set. It's like start of a new day, end of a day well-spent with his loved-ones and fans supporting him.

►Eunhyuk writes a song for Leeteuk's birthday

For fellow member Leeteuk's birthday, Super Junior's Eunhyuk writes a song for Leeteuk as a gift, "Birthday Celebration Song".

On July 1's broadcast of Super Junior's Kiss the Radio, Eunhyuk said,
"I've prepared this for Leeteuk's birthday."
He suddenly sang live to
"Birthday Celebration Song".
The staff members thought that this was just a simple birthday celebration song, but after hearing the MIDI

background and the harmonization of a female voice, exactly like the quality from an album, they were surprised.
Leeteuk received a birthday gift that was beyond of what he expected, and became emotional. From

the lyrics:
"I'm kinda shy, and I'm not good at expressing...";
Because of Super Junior-Happy's "Yoriwang
(Cooking? Cooking!)" activities,
Eunhyuk is able to spend time with Leeteuk everyday.
Eunhyuk said that he would never say it in words,
but he would rather express it in a song that comes from the heart.
This song can be downloaded from Super Junior
Kiss the Radio's official website on KBS.

Translated lyrics:

July 1, 1983
25 birthdays have passed
My long wait met an end today
Actually I'm a bit embarrassed
I'm awkward when expressing myself
Today I call out Hyung's name once
Saying Happy Birthday
Even such simple words
Seem as if they were blocking my mouth
Getting them out is hard
These lyrics I carry in my heart and feelings
Come on~ blow the candles

Impossible to hide your charm
Feels like I've fallen in deep
Every night from 10 to 12 I meet you, Leeteuk
You're the one I wish to be with together forever
You just are my good-looking Prince
I thank you
For coming into this world

Your coming into this world is a strong impression
It's a finer gift than I thought
Hyung Hyungnim as the Leader I'm directly under you
Behind our leading Hyung's back
There are 12 members
Don't always hurt by yourself
Indivisible Super Junior, in sorrow and joy

Your coming into this world is a strong impression
It's a finer gift than I thought
Hyung Hyungnim as the Leader I'm directly under you
Behind our leading Hyung's back
There are 12 members
Don't always hurt by yourself
Indivisible Super Junior, in sorrow and joy

Angel (Special Day)
Teuki Teuki~ Leeteuki~
Ever Lasting Friends Your wings
Kiss the Radio (forever)
Happy Birthday To You

►SuJu, The Honorary Ambassador for Events

Super Junior, as an honorary ambassador for
events who marked the 50th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic ties between South
Korea and Thailand last April 29, are expected to play
a major role in publicizing the friendly relationship
between the two nations.

The 13-member group are to support public relations
activities for the anniversary by holding a concert in
Bangkok on Saturday, July 12 and are attending
a variety of joint events including art performances
and an investment fair.

Super Junior are now in Japan for "Super Junior
1st Premium Event in Japan" as their first official
appearance as a group. They will commence their
rehearsal for Thailand Super Show this whole week.

►SuJu Holds First Fan Meeting in Tokyo

Popular male vocal group Super Junior will hold a two-day fan meeting event at the Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Super Junior will hold a fan meeting entitled "Super Junior's 1st Premium Event in Japan" on July 8 and hold a name card exchange event with fans

the following day on July 9. It will be Super Junior's first fan meeting in Japan. It is rare for artists that have not officially launched an album in Japan to be holding an event at the Budokan.

Avex, Japan's leading entertainment company and organizer of the fan meeting, said it launched the official Japanese website for Super Junior(http://avex.jp/superjunior)and that the 12,000 tickets to the two-day event have already been sold out.

►Super Junior in Japan

Some twelve thousand Japanese Elves gathered at Nippon Budokan today to attend Super Junior’s “1st Premium event in Japan.” What an inappropriate name for a lousy circus! Unless it was Cirque du Soleil quality, which I know that it wasn’t, it shouldn’t be called a premium event. SM should be fined for false advertising.

After the high turnout, there is no doubt in my mind that Father SM will create another sub-group for the Japanese market, but before he slaps on a random letter after Super Junior, let’s preempt him and create our own name for Super Junior Japan. What would you name them?

►More for SuJu in Japan

Fan Account: They opened up with the song “Twins”. All of them were there, except for Kibum. Then they sang Miracle (?). After that, they all gathered together and introduced themselves in japanese~

Teuk: While glancing at his hands, he says something like they’ll work their hardest and then showing everyone how he cheated and grinning(?).

Heenim: “今日、ラーメンを食べて、涙が出ました! でも! おいしい! お。い。しい!” (Today, I ate ramen, tears came out! But! It’s Delicious! De.li.cious!)

Yesung: “OGENKI DESUKA?!” (

Siwon: *speaks some Japanese then consults the members* “Sakura? Sakura? … Douzo Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu. (”Sakura” is probably the most popular japanese word.. Because.. I don’t know XD; Sakura is “Cherry Blossoms” while “Douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu” is a way of saying “I am pleased to meet you”)

After singing a few songs, they played a video of SJT while the members got ready. After the vid, the SJT members came out to perform Rokkugo! in red outfits! After that, they talked about the meaning of the “T” in SJT and how it would be “enka” In japan. (Enka=Japanese ballad; could be the equivalent of trot{?})

They were asked about what makes them so cool, and Heechul went “Watashitachi wa SUBARASHII!” (”We are marvelous/awesome/great!”) , and since then it became the favorite word for the night, Hyukjae and Shindong saying “Subarashii” to one another.

KRY perforemed too. Don’t remember much from them, though they did sound good of course.

There were 12 questions prepared, one for each member. Heenim was asked how he’s so pretty, and he says that It’s because of parents his and he doesn’t do much (about taking care of his face, i think.. Like grooming, applying random stuffs, etc.) and Hyukjae protests and says “USO USO USO!” (LIE! LIE! LIE!) Heenim then told the audience that it’s also because he showers everyday and he said it in the Korean pronounciation. “슈워 (Shaweo), 슈워(Shaweo), シャワア! (Shawaa; japanese pronounciation)!” *makes hand motions of holding a shower head* “Mainichi shawaa abiite kudasai! (Take a shower everyday, please!)”

Sungming was now asked about his smile. Hyukjae tickled him from the side of his back.

When Kangin was talking, Yesung was pestering him and then Kangin tried to grab Yesung’s microphone. Yesung then got angry. All of a sudden, everyone started hitting and pestering Yesung, which made him stand up and run away!

Hyukjae was asked about when he started dancing, then he did a dance for everyone.

Teuk had everyone do the “Teukie Teukie” dance (derived from Eva’s dance from Full House). . Some Kangteuk can be seen there, too!

Ryeowook was asked on what he thought of Japanese girls, he answered, “…Kawaii(cute)… .. . Kawaii… Kirei desu. (pretty)” YEs, WOok,

Kyuhyun was asked about what he wanted to see in Japan, and he aswered, ” Watashi wa.. Fuji-san desu” Which is translated to “I am Mr. Fuji”, LOL Kyu you are TOO CUTE

They then showed a preview for the Japanese release of “Attack on the Pin-up Boys”.

Kibum appeared on a VTR, apologizing in korean, with japanese subs. he aswered some questions about what he wanted to do if he had been able to make it to Japan. He then started speaking in Japanese.

After that Q and A segment, they played games. One was that they had to decorate faces while blindfolded; Sungmin won.(?) (Donghae vs. Sungmin) During the preparations for that game, Yesung went behind the boards where there was a hole in the middle and started making faces ! (Aw CUTE

The next game was eating Mikan (orange). Hanchul were partners, where in Geng used his hands to peel the fruit while under a shirt thing and had to feed Heenim), and KyuTeuk as partners.

Everyone showed gifts they had prepared, and signed them (though Sungmin’s was a necklace, so he couldn’t sign it; he kept saying sorry; he made it himself!♥)

Through some kind of raffle, they gave away the 12 PRECIOUS GIFTS. One lucky girl got to get a picture with the members on the stage (2 members hugged her) and when she had to choose who she liked the most, she picked Donghae.. Though Siwon and the few others were showing signs of saying “PICK ME!” in front of her.. ~stylite says: ME TOO WiLL ABSOLUTELY PiCK Fishy oppa!!!!!

font size="3" color="green">hen as the members were drawing the winning ticket seats for their 12 gifts, Kangin was leading the crowd with some chants (eg. Say Leeteuk! Say Hey ho! Say heechul! “Itadakimasu” is actually said before eating meals. Then came Ryeowook’s turn to pull out a ticket for who will receive his PRECIOUS gift, he then shouted “ITADAKIMASU!” (OMG LOL, why are ess you could translate it as .. “Thank you for the food”, or “I’ll eat now”)

Then we celebrated both Teuk and Heenim’s birthdays with a cake. All of us sang Happy Birthday” in korean. Both of them had strawberries in their mouths, and they moved to face each other like they were going to touch each other’s strawberries (?), then the surrounding members pushed their head together so it looked like they kissed.

Heechul talked about his handsome-ness randomly, he said, “Boku wa ippai kakoii”

Sungmin then said at one point, In Japanese, “I think about you (the fans) everyday. So please think about me everyday.”

Kangin kept saying “Sou, Sou” when people spoke (Can be “yes” in english). Hyukjae repeatedly says “Uso, Uso! Subarashii” (LOL), next to “oishi( yummy)” , there’s also “arigato gozaimasu” (thank you).

Then they ended with “U”, korean version.

At the very end, all of us fans who had Pearl Sapphire Balloons, which were giveng uopn entry, let it go, and they thanked us.
